Aluminum branch circuit wiring re-termination.

The COPALUM re-termination process for repairing the terminal end deficiencies in old technology aluminum branch wiring is the highest rated CPSC(Consumer Product Safety Commission) recommended repair available.

From the mid 60s to early 70s, many homes, townhomes, condominiums, and commercial buildings were wired using aluminum Romex branch wiring, which was a recognized and accepted installation method at the time.

Although, the current carrying characteristics of Aluminum wire itself are still safe today, the termination points, through years of use, commonly become loose and cause arcing which can create a fire hazard.

The COPALUM re-termination process corrects the loosening of the terminal ends by mechanically fusing the aluminum wire to a piece of solid copper wire which can be safely connected to the intended switch, receptacle or appliance.

Advantages of using the COPALUM process include:

Large projects such as condominium complexes, neighborhood developments or office complexes can benefit from economy of scale purchasing. Please feel free to contact us for further information or to request a project quotation.
